Projection with an Angle

This is a rather unique view that might need enlarging of a 35mm motion picture projector that is shooting into a large mirror that is positioned at a 45 degree angle. The reflected image travels some 30 feet and is rear screen projected onto a transparent screen. Why would one want to do that you might ask? This theater projects movie trailers onto a large lobby screen from behind so people can watch while hanging out in the lobby area. The mirror helps correct the reverse of the rear projection.

The blue squiggly line is a reflection of the old optical sound track that is not used much any more now that we have Dolby Digital. You see it as it has been masked off from reaching the lobby screen. I'll show you the makeup of some modern 35mm film in an upcoming blip.

This image is a 2 shot composite from some 15 different shots. Very dark and no tripod using only walls for stability. Enjoy...
