Marjorie's ramblings

From the bridge at Chollerford

I had to go into Hexham this afternoon to do some last minute shopping. On my way home I noticed that vast expanses of the North Tyne are frozen over, so I parked the car and grabbed the camera.

This is a panorama. I stood on Chollerford Bridge, near the George Hotel, and looked south. The white in the foreground is the river and then there is the weir. There was no heron in sight today. I like the cold feel of the image and the sheep in the fields on the far side of the river.

I have changed the image because the joins showed in the first one. Not sure why - they don't usually show with the Photoshop processing. Another of life's little mysteries.
