Sunrise at Brocolitia

It was one of those mornings. I was up in plenty of time to see the eclipse but could not find the base plate to fix the camera to the tripod. Set off late, roads very very iffy, and was too late when I reached the first vantage point looking west. The lone cameraman there had been able to see the eclipse........

So I turned around and enjoyed the sunrise. The sky was on fire. This is an HDR shot, using the tripod (base plate was hiding on the settee). The snow looked very blue after processing, so I have partially desaturated the foreground to compensate for this.
