The Lozarithm Lens

Lickhill Farm

After a surgery MOT, I had an hour long stroll under bleak grey skies, devoid of even the interest of mist, and came home with as poor a batch of photos as ever I have taken. A kestrel on a telegraph pole was especially disappointing as the lens I had was too short to capture it and the light was too poor to pick out its beautiful plumage, even though it was lunchtime. This farmyard scene at Lickhill Farm was grabbed from the footpath a couple of fields away.

I was inspired to order a new lens when I got back, a 70-300mm zoom, at a sale price and pre-VAT increases, and I'm tempted to order a 1.4 converter to add to it later in the new year.
