One Thousand Words a Day

Sin City

Another night shot... I really should make more of an effort to take the camera out during the day. When I first came to Korea, I was startled at the amount of neon and bright, flashing things. Alongside the luminous crosses representing the myriad churches, the most common feature on the skyline is the 'love motel'. So called because young lovers generally live with their parents until marriage and thus can't indulge in acts of passion until then, they are everywhere. For the traveler, they provide cheap, secure and comfortable accommodation across Korea.
