Inchkeith

The island of Inchkeith in the Forth Estuary taken on my way back from collecting my morning newspaper.

The colours soon faded and the mist over the Forth intensified until late this afternoon when it started to improve and I had hopes of some sunset colours but they failed to materialise. However, the walk along the coast was serene - barely a whisper from the calm sea, not a hint of a breeze making the +1°C air temperature comfortably bearable. The sound of the seabirds carried easily to the ear but the seals remained silent as they lazed on the rocks.
