Little opportunity for photography today, but I did get down to the river and the canal, where I took this. It was as cold as the day before but the sun was cowering behind a cloud and there were no golden rays or any colour to speak of. Mallards, of course, are always colourful and engaging and helped me out today.

What's Missing From This Picture? (Lens: Pentax 16-45mm)
What's missing is Swanny. He hasn't been in sight for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't photographed him since New Year's Day. All the indications are that he no longer inhabits this stretch of river. Did he overcome his demons and fly away? Has he been moved? Has he met with an accident? I'd love to know.
