Mount Torlesse

Rubicon Peak on the left, with Back Peak and Otarama. In large you can see the last bit of snow in the ravine on Rubicon. There is a thin thread going right down the ravine.

After spending all morning extracting a tangle of twitch (couch, Elitrigia repens), and preparing the garden for winter and autumn vegetables I rewarded myself with a drive up close to the mountains. It's not far, but I rarely go up there. Now I feel very weary, but pleased with what I have accomplished. The ground is soaked ready for the plants to go in when it turns cooler, perhaps tomorrow evening.
