It has been three full years since I began to photograph as a serious hobbyist. There is a very thin line between passion and obsession, I'd say. Actually, for these three years I've been more a camera hobbyist than a photography enthusiast. Now it's time to change that, forget the equipment and find something to say.

I am a verbal person. Literature and verbal expression are my territory. To express oneself visually is challenging, but I'm trying to maintain the faith that it is something one can learn.

Hence this diary. Last year I had a blog project ? almost the entire year I used only old film cameras and black and white film. Did I learn something? I really don't know.

It has been said that to become a good photographer one needs to take a hell of a lot bad pictures. While I feel like I've done my share, this year I decided to try something different, to shoot every day, whatever the outcome will be. It would perhaps make a nice diary to look after a year or so, and there is a slight possibility that it might also teach me to see better.

So, I've loosely committed myself to this diary for a year. I'm afraid that it will produce a hell lot of bad pictures, but still... well, one can always hope.
