Even since receiving a camera for my eighth birthday I have been fascinated by the photographic process. Great photography instructors in high school and college focused my interest and helped define my skills. I started my Blipfoto as a way to document our "vacation of a lifetime" to Brazil and Colombia in 2010 for our friends back in Washington State.

Since that trip, my wife and I have retired, sold almost all of our worldly possessions (including our home and business), and relocated to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Finding daily material was sometimes a struggle in Washington, but it has become much easier with the overwhelming visual stimulation of our new home.

What started with film and progressed to digital capture has become a vital part of every experience in this ongoing chronicle of our life in a foreign culture.
