Well, I'm 17 year old, attempting to get through life as a sixth form student in the beautiful county of Dorset. I've always enjoyed photography despite my first film from the very first camera I owned, contained about 20 different angle shots of a duck at Stourhead. Hopefully my skills have improved since then!

I got stuck into photography more after entering the Poole School's Photography Competition. In consecutive years I've managed to clock up 3rd, then 2nd place (hopefully next year I'll manage first place!).

My main focus for photos depends on the mood, place and time of day. I'm very much a fan of unique moments, such as sunsets, the breaking of a wave and other moments which only ever occur once, exactly as they are. I love the Lake District for shots of wildlife and landscapes, but am lucky where I live to be able to get beautiful shots of the River Stour less than 300m from where I live. I enjoy using varying shutter speeds, but am still getting to grips with noise, ISO and resolution.

For me photography boils down to this quote by Imogen Cunningham which I decided on using for my Journal title... " Which of my photographs is my favourite? The one I'm going to take tomorrow. "
