I started with a Box Brownie when I was 8, moved on to an Instamatic, then an 18th-birthday-present SLR Ricoh, then a borrowed Pentax with lenses. A few point-and-shoots, a Nikon and now an Olympus and a phone.

I am especially interested in real-world geometry and abstracts - I'm especially not interested in Photoshop as a painting programme.

When I'm not out with the camera I organise things, teach, write, edit, sing, do some graphic design and work in a charity supporting asylum seekers and refugees. I'm not good at sticking to one job and have done loads of different things. I don't have enough life left to do everything else I want to do, but I'm trying. And with that aim, from May 2019 I am retired.

That didn't last long. Went back in August 2021 to help out during the Afghan refugee crisis, retired again then went back to work half time with a homeless charity in August 2022.

Adding a link for my own sake to my blipfolio now that I've found it again.
