Today I will be posting my 100th blip, and so I thought it time to write a little bit of a bio.

It's hard to know what to say about one's self.

Married, an RN by profession, working for a home hospice agency in E. Tennessee. We live out in the country south of Knoxville, not quite halfway to Chattanooga.

I've been interested in photography, and played around with it most of my life. I picked it up in earnest shortly after our youngest daughter, Jessica, died. I don't know why. I've written some about my reasons on my photoblog, but bottom-line, I think it's about capturing life...a way of rebelling against the ravages of death and grief.

And then there's blipping. This 365 project on Blipfoto has been the best thing I've ever done for my photography. I'm inspired by so many other blippers, and I'm learning so much from everyone here.

But most of all I'm learning to see. Really see. Life.
