Eeny, Meeny, Miny..........Mo!

A tough choice of Blips from today's bumper crop of photo's! The day started off well with another visit to the woods after yesterday's failed attempt to see the red squirrels that run around there, this time however we got lucky, after planting some nuts on one of the feeders one plucky but flighty little squirrel made its way down the tree, squeaking to warn myself and Anth off, he was also darting around making it hard to get a sharp shot of him but eventually we managed to grab a handful. The morning sunlight was beaming through the trees, breaking light across the forest floor, also on the way back to the car Anth heard a woodpecker but after a quick search we had no luck.

Later in the morning we headed over to Alford for an event called Cyclefest, the day started off with an auction featuring mainly vintage bikes ranging from an 1880's penny farthing to a 1988 post bike, both myself and Anth had our eyes on two 1950's bikes, Anth a yellow Holdsworth, and me a copper and green racer, however at the start of the auction it was apparent that no bargins were going to be had, my bike got to £180 but failed to sell, and the bike Anth liked made £140 with him being the highest bidder but only conditionally sold, needless to say we left without any new (or old) interesting bikes. Speaking of interesting bikes there were also many other vintage bikes on display, showing a level of thought and craftsmanship which is sadly missing from most modern bikes.

Before we left we had another quick look at some of the stalls selling spare parts, Anth found some spare bottom bracket axles for a restoration project, and I stumbled across a camera, a Minox 35GT, an interesting little camera that was apparently the smallest 35mm camera ever made, I got it for £23, a quick check on eBay shows some going for £95! I cant wait to get a battery for it and give it a try.
