Ewans Park

A busy old Sunday today for us all. First up we we were off to one of Toddlers friends birthday party. We were a bit surprised to bump into the birthday boy and his father on the way, who were off to the shops. It turned out we had our times wrong and we were half an hour early so while Wife went to help set up the party I took the little ones to Ewans park for a swing.

The party was great fun with lots of little people charging all over the place, pass the parcel and lots of nice party food including a bus cake. Toddler and Baby had a wonderful time.

After the party we popped home to pick up four broken banisters spindles and the last remaining bits of wood from our old kitchen to take to The Boat Project who were having a collection at Southsea Castle. We were not simply getting rid of junk, though when we got there and saw what else had been donated it kind of felt like it. There were walking sticks, peices of art, old beams and tools.

Our donations story was that they were from our first family house. Since moving in to the house we have had to perford some DIY. I replaced four banister spindles over time, all of which have been named after each member of the family by Toddler. So I have one, Wife has one, as does Toddler and Baby. The kitchen wood was nice hard wood that I thought may be handy that was the last part of the incredibly wellcrafted but extremly odd, ugly old and slightly infested kitchen that took ages to dismantle on account of the thousands of nails holding it together, our wedding gifts paid for this removal.

We told our wood story which was recorded, and we had our photo taken outside with our wood which was then numbered so that we can monitor it as the boat is built. On leaving the castle we bumped into our picnic friends from yesterday which meant more playing and fun.

We then played with lots of bubbles and went home, shattered.
