Ground Control To Major Toddler

The usual swimathon that is Saturday morning with both little ones went off as usual though we did not go to the libary afterwards this week as we needed to prep for a picnic at the park with friends.

The park was lots of fun though our friends were a parent down due to an all night chess session having to be slept off on the sofa. Toddler had a great time playing with her friend and really enjoyed hanging out with her brothers.

Later in the day we said goodbye to our friends and headed down to Portsmouth Artspace as they were having open studios this weekend. I was amazed just by how many studios they have there. It was interesting to see the studios though it felt quite uncomfortable being there at times like we were being invasive in the artist's space.

Not long after getting there, whilst sitting with the buggy in a hall way we got chatting to an elderly lady from near where I went to school whos grandaughter had one of the stuidio.

When I visited the grandaughters studio I was very impressed with her work. She was quite worried and embarrassed that I had met her gran. The artist walks round Portsmouth taking street photography and the pencil draws these as models. The detail in her work was impressive and today some visitors knew some of the models so she leant a bit more about them also.

After a bit of cake and a cup of tea we made our way home where the rest of the family put on their protective headgear for some front wall walking whilst I cooked.
