Marjorie's ramblings

Seeing the world differently

I was out walking by the river North Tyne this evening. It was such a beautiful and peaceful evening, sunny and warm as the sun started to sink in the sky producing lovely light. Looking through the macro lens took me into a miniature world. The grasses are wonderful at the moment, and through the lens you see a myriad of colours and fine detail.

This chap was sitting on the a hogweed flower. The flowers are beautiful although the overall plant seems rather coarse. I like the way you can see different shades and colours in his armour. He won the "battle" with an alien looking blue bug on grass, but in the end he won because both his antennae are intact!

Did some gardening this afternoon which involved contact with the golden hop. Now have very sore swollen arms - a sort of contact dermatitis. I won't be going near it without long sleeves on again, ever.

Do look to see what was on Springwatch a year ago
