A time for everything

Sunday
I hadnt slept very well, so wasn't very keen on getting up this morning, but we finally made it to church for the third service. It was a grey miserable day with occasional showers, so in the afternoon we headed down to Newport in Kentucky to go to the aquarium. In the media, they've been making a lot of fuss about their "new" penguin exhibit - well as far as we could see the only thing new was they have a couple of new species of penguin - the actual exhibit looked much the same. However, I always enjoy going, and especially watching the penguins. You can watch them on land as well as underwater, and they seemed particularly active today, so it was fun watching them. Unfortunately I couldnt get any photos, as they keep the lighting in tune to what they're used to in the wild, and of course its winter where they come from so the lighting was subdued, and then the glass of course gets all splashed. I got a few half-way decent shots of some of the fish, but decided to go with this guy on stilts outside, making balloon animals for the kids. We spoiled ourselves with an ice cream from Coldstone Creamery then headed home.
