Seen at Low Force

I went on a Geology trip to Teesdale with the U3A today. It was a well organised event and I learnt a lot.

We walked from Bowlees to Low Force where we stopped for lunch. The "floor show" was magnificent. There were a group of young people there who were learning to canoe. Here are two of the instructors showing how to tackle the white water. Later on in the day a Countryfile team arrived to film the youngsters and we are told to watch on September 4th. I met Clare Balding on the path to High Force and she graciously accepted a leaftlet for - yes you've guessed it - the Haltwhistle Walking Festival (up to >80 bookings as of today).

Back at Low Force a new group of youngsters were jumping from the bridge into the deep water below.

So there were lots of photo opportunities. I like this image because in large you can see the happy expressions.
