From Hoxa

I caught the bus to St. Margaret's Hope and walked out to Hoxa Head. On the road it was so warm that I had to stop twice to divest myself of layers.

Once I'd got rid of the chickens...those feathers are so hot...I felt much cooler.

It was beautiful out at the cliffs of the Head and I stayed quite a while. A big female peregrine was disturbed from her perch by a passing lobster boat, gannets passed by and a hen harrier hunted over the fields by the tapestry gallery on my way back to the village.

Checking my phone. I was rather chagrined to realise that I'd missed a sperm whale that swam right into Kirkwall harbour. Oh well.
