Friends!

Graduation weekend! The day however got off to a bad start. We were invited to the home of one of Laura's friends for a brunch celebrating graduation. Laura left in her own car a few minutes before us, as she was going to hang out with her friends afterwards. When we got to the end of our road, we saw Laura's car pulled over on one side and she was out of the car talking to a gentleman, cell phone in hand - appparently about to call us. She had just had her first accident - fortunately very minor. The end of our road is a four-way stop, and I think they had both been stopped letting another car go, and then apparently both thought they had got there first, and pulled out. Since they were both pulling off from a stop, the damage was minor, but we still had to notify the police, and of course now her insurance will go up!. Once we got to the brunch however, we all had a good time. The picture was taken there, showing Laura (in white capris) with some of her friends. The weather has changed from being really miserable to really summer-like in about a week - today was hot (and humid) and sunny. Back home, Roger got busy in the yard - cleaning the patio, which is partially in the shade of two trees and gets really dirty over the winter, and I did grocery shopping and made Laura's graduation cake. Jenny arrived from Columbus about 8 pm and after dinner, Jen and Laura went to a movie, and I started on food preparation for tomorrow.
