Swimming Against The Tide

Crocheted Witch

Our local "urban" "knitters" have been out and about again! I put both those words into inverted commas because our local town isn't really very "urban" and the "knitting" in this case is actually crochet! Rather bewitching though, isn't she?

Today was back to college after half term, and it felt SO SO SO good to leave the house in the light again, following the clocks changing at the weekend. It was more like being up and about when we should be, rather than creeping off somewhere in the dead of night.

The morning was a busy one - lectures on how to give a good grammar lesson, how to write aims and objectives, and phonology and stress were followed by receiving our teaching and observation briefs for the week - plenty of work to do then!

After college I went to Scharwenka's for lunch and the afternoon. Scharwenka admitted that although he isn't really into tattoos, mine was rather splendid and he was exceedingly impressed at the detail and light and shade on it.

The Wonderspouse met me at Scharwenka's and then we finally did a big shop for groceries and so on, getting home, tired, around 12 hours after we left!

The felines spent the evening being bezerk, since they'd been in all day owing to the Halloween stuff - this is the time of year, with witches and fireworks and so on, when we keep them indoors much more than usual and they do get rather cooped up and barmy!

All three rodents enjoyed tiny slices of fresh apple for supper!
