Blacktopping

It's hard to imagine that tarring a driveway could be at all picturesque, but I think I might have at least partly managed it this morning (it was still a bit foggy--fun to view large.)

This is the driveway between the large new house on the right and the very small carriage house on the left. The latter has always been there, and is housing the family of five while their new house is being constructed (the target for moving in seems now to be shortly before Christmas). The overhead branches are ones that still remain on the huge oak that lost many in our pre-Halloween snowstorm.

Googling blacktop yields many possible meanings. I'm also amused by the initials A.G.E. on the electricians van, which are close to AEG--Germany's equivalent to our General Electric Corp., which a close friend from Frankfurt worked for his entire career (including after its takeover by Daimler). At the far end of the drive way across the street, which I blipped here.

I haven't done a construction blip in some time; the others are here (28 blips), for the curious, with the complex story of building first the house which we are now renting and then the big one.
