A Ray of Brightness Amongst the Grey

It didn't really "brighten" up till about 9.30am this morning! Grey, wet and low cloud, cold too! A real duvet day!

Lots of areas around Central Scotland flooded too with the tremendous amount of rain. But preferable to the snow that we had this time last year.

I've watched two programmes with choirmaster Gareth Malone today and yesterday. One was The Choir Military Wives, which was such an emotional programme, especially when the wives sung at the Festival of Remembrance at the Albert Hall, singing a song that was written for them based on their letters from and to their loved ones while their husbands were on a tour of duty in Afghanistan. The song is beautiful, if you have not heard it then catch it on You Tube. It's called "Wherever You Are" and lets hope it keeps the X Factor rubbish song (whatever it is) off the Christmas No. 1 spot. If you haven't watched the programme then catch it on the BBC Iplayer.

The other Gareth programme was when he started up a choir in a deprived area of London called South Oxhey. He is such an inspiring person, and brought the community together through music. He is my new hero! LOL!
