Gorgeous glass globe

This beautiful glass sphere was a Christmas present from a friend. It is not intended as a Christmas decoration. It is called a 'Friendship Globe' and the tradition goes that glass blowers used up molten glass to make these and give them as tokens of friendship on special occasions.

I am holding this in the window but I haven't yet found a place to hang it permanently.
