Cow and Calf.

These are the famous Cow and Calf rocks on Ilkley Moor, and from this familiar angle you can see why they are so named.

We had a little shopping trip into Ilkley this morning and stopped off at this spot on the edge of the moor above the town.

It was a dull morning again but the first glimmer of sun was starting to show when I took this.

Whatever the weather this spot attracts walkers and climbers alike. You can see climbers on the bigger 'Cow' rock and there were several groups across the rest of the escarpment.

Usually there is a great view from here too down the Wharfe Valley, but it was a bit too murky today.
