On Your Marks, Get Set?Bake!

It was Mothering Sunday at the weekend and I bought some delicious cupcakes for my mum and wife (on behalf of).

There seems to be a growing trend in the UK for cupcakes and all things baked. So much so that I remember reading that one retailer (John Lewis) saw a near 500% growth in the sales of cake stands - crazy!

This huge increase could be attributed to a resurgence in popularity of cake-making and eating over the past year, but I suspect it was mostly due to a popular TV show - The Great British Bake Off.
