Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

Round up the usual suspects.

Some bureaucracy today, mainly The Dizzle's passport renewal for our trip to the USA in the summer. I don't know why but a passport application always makes you feel as if you have something to hide; add in the sheer terror of getting something wrong and the need to go crawling to one of your respectable associates for validation and the thing is enough to make you completely neurotic. There are probably specialist mental health services for people who have had trouble with renewing their passport. "Help me doc ... I slipped, the last letter of my signature just touched the outside of the box ... I didn't mean it you gotta help me ... some pills or sumfin...I can't go back in there again without help..."

So the first day of summertime and the living was ... well pretty easy. Usual domestics and heroics by TSM on the revision / homework front with a teenager who is feeling a bit poorly. Did a nice lunch for The Yogamama and fell asleep over the Sunday papers in a warm spring sunlit conservatory, partly 'cos I'm still feeling crap and partly 'cos it's a nice thing to do. Watched Captain Picard having his shaven head stroked by a beautiful alien who muttered "I haven't seen a bald man in three hundred years" in what is probably the second most erotic scene out of Star Trek ever. Went for a walk around the neighbourhood on the first of the long summer evenings as part of TSM's diet and fitness regime. Undecided about Titanic on the telly tonight. May have to be wallpaper watching whilst I edit a few photographs that are in my digital queue.

Got a busy week ahead then the joy of a whole month when I only work four day weeks ... I love the Spring...
