Minkey

This is Minkey ("Mink"); he is one of our two pet cats (the other being Miss Moneypenny, a.k.a. Shnarf).
Minkey is a Bengal cat, and Shnarf is a tabby.

Minkey really is a thing of beauty, but he is an extraordinarily noisy thing of beauty: he shouts and yowls and chirrups, and rarely purrs (purring is too quiet you see, and would prevent him from making a lot of noise)...

He thinks he is huge and scary (he walks like a big cat, working his shoulders far too hard), but really he is fairly averagely sized for a scrawny little cat, and a little bit unintimidating. He trots around being a nuisance and picking fights with other cats (including Shnarf) but usually comes back looking a bit thrashed and limp.
For example, Shnarf is a 15 year old female, and 'though she looks small, she is actually tiny with lots of hair; she still gives Mink an almighty beating when he (regularly) tries to assert his dominance.
It turns out Mink doesn't learn...

I tell (/warn) people that he is very noisy before they meet him, and they always roll their eyes and look at me like I'm exaggerating or making it up , but then they meet him and ask questions like "Why is he making that noise?!", and, "Seriously, what is wrong with him: have you had him checked out?".
"I don't know what is wrong with him, but yes, (yes... Rolls eyes) we have had him checked out...".

I went outside between rain showers to take pictures of rain drops on leaves and flowers, but actually thought this might be more interesting for Blip today: Minkey was captivated by a wood pigeon that had almost landed in our garden, but abandoned its approach and landing after seeing the cat and me.
In Mink's mind, he'd have crept stealthily up and gracefully caught the huge pigeon, but really the only reason that the pigeon continued on its way was that it remembered Minkey, and didn't have time to give the cat a suitably sound pasting.
