The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

By pontycyclops

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaam!

Is this the most put upon parent Starling you have ever seen! Those of you with small children can undoubtedly sympathise and relate to her plight!

The second fledglings of 2012 appeared in the garden today. Three young Starlings arrived mid morning. I had a feeling they were about to as the mother was calling and calling from the top of the feeder for five minutes before one by one these dusty brown little ones arrived.

It was brilliant to watch the mother and father fuss over them for half an hour, making sure they were all fed. They have appeared almost a fortnight earlier than last year. I blipped them (in the rain again) on the 28th May.

We had our first fledgling robin in the garden just before the weekend if you wondered who got that honour.

As you can imagine there are a number of rejected blips ... including one weird one!
