Rainbow

From my upstairs spare room window at 1517 hr, and taken on the iPad. I took a couple of shots from the study window at the other end of the house. I was hoping to catch the falling rain but that doesn't show, but the sunset does and explains the colours in the first shot.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Mac Gayden's Skyboat - Morning Glory (1976)
This song was regularly played on Charlie Gillett's excellent Sunday lunchtime programme on BBC Radio London in the seventies, Honky Tonk, a programme I never missed as he featured music that even John Peel didn't play. There are two compilations of music played on the show available on Ace CDs, so I have recently been reliving them. Mac Gayden was a slide guitarist and singer and recorded this, his own composition, on a single, now sadly impossible to find online. He re-recorded it with his band Skyboat, and James and Bobby Purify later reached the US charts with their version of it. He was also second guitarist in JJ Cale's band and played wah-slide on his record of Crazy Mama.
