The Ring of Fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire . . .

I was privileged to watch the sun rise on this day. It is something I love to do: to stand at the edges of the world and watch it fill up with light. On this morning, I had the company of a small herd of cows, blinking and barely awake; their noses shone pink in the rosy glow, as the sky caught fire behind me.
