Winter Scene

A morning run despite the sore back. After the first few minutes the pain disappeared and I was able to complete a reasonable distance without any further problems - except the usual one of wondering why it feels so hard. No repercussions either from the back during the rest of the day.

More work on the prison contract, checking and rechecking every little detail so that the contractors can't wriggle out of anything because, they would say, we weren't clear about what we wanted.

Before the Governing Body meeting at 4.00pm I had time to call at the farmshop near the school. Which was where this shot of a late winter afternoon with the dormant apple trees was taken. I went to purchase some Seville oranges for Susan to make marmalade. She wants to make ginger marmalade this year.

The least said about the governing body meeting the better; lack of focus and people very subdued - and it over ran by an hour - three hours of not very much.
