Green Dome

Still sniffling today – but hopefully it will disappear soon. Had a pleasant wander along Princes Street and then back along George Street at lunchtime which helped to clear my head.  It was a lovely bright day and seemed mild compared with the temperature earlier in the week, and it seemed quite quiet.  Where was everyone?

Had my usual quick turnaround with BB tonight to get him home, fed and changed before Cubs.  Somehow we even managed to fit in cello practice (but that’s probably because he is on a technology ban at the moment – so had nothing to distract him!).

This building houses the Royal Society of Edinburgh – Scotland’s national academy of science and letters.  I used to work there.  The statue in the middle of the road is of King George IV  and was erected to commemorate the visit of the man himself to Scotland in 1822.
