Pringled

Poor wee Amospig chucked again this morning, shortly after relatively-perkily nomming some cornflakes and drinking ¾ of a milk. I'll poke through some old blips later to see if I made a note of how old Edgar was when we started to suspect full-fat moo-cow milk being connected to his tendency to yak without noticeable provocation. It's hopefully just some sort of bug making merry with his stomach chemistry as the wee one is rather fond of milks.

Despite the emesis-related disruption to the morning I managed to get the new frame and fork to the shop to be connected, a headset press not yet being something I have or can pretend to have using available materials. Had I had time to get the bent front wheel's dynohub out last night and to get all the components packed into some sort of box might have tried to drag everything to the bike shop and treated myself (albeit courtesy of the dozy motherfucker's insurer) to a professional assembly, but I'll probably now just build it all at home, as I did with the last one at almost exactly the same time last year.

Although no longer true, the front wheel will remain complete just long enough to build a replacement using the freshly-delivered 36-hole dynohub, after which the 32-hole dynohub will be incorporated into a new wheel with a new rim, either to be called a spare and/or to act as a quick-swap winter tyre reservoir and/or to possibly be a front wheel for something to make use of the now-spare fork and still-spare old low-tyre-clearance frame, possibly also giving this old mudguard something to do.
