White Petals

I treated myself to a bunch of flowers a couple of week ago, but now they are beyond their best and ready to be recycled.  I think this is a white chrysanthemum or something similar; the leaves are dead, but some of the flower heads are still interesting.

Before putting them out I decided to take some "studio" shots using a new black velour background I purchased for such occasions.  You can't see the background in this shot, but by backlighting it, and a with mono conversion in LR, I'm really pleased with the end result.
