Bus Challenge No 51!!

A beautiful sunny day, and blue skies from dawn to dusk! So time to dust off those walking boots and jump on a bus!!

Took the bus into Bath this morning where I met up with a friend and took a second bus out to the east of Bath. We joined the tow path that follows the Kennet and Avon Canal, and walked along to the Dundas Aqueduct, before having lunch in the sunshine at a canalside café.

This is the junction of the Kennet and Avon Canal and the former Somerset Coal Canal. Here canal boats can still stop to take on fuel and water before making a sharp left hand turn to cross the Dundas Aqueduct (completed in 1805), above the river Avon and the Wessex Main Line railway.

Waiting between buses time = 35 mins
Total journey time = 2 hours 5 mins
