1st contract gather of 2015

Breagh, Pip and Shaw enjoyed the first contract gather of this year today. Its a low easy gather compared to others. The dogs were super keen but very well behaved. Pip was a wee star, she didn't need to go on the lead once, she was taking her lie down commands and flanking commands in relative calmness. I am very proud of her today, long may it continue.

I always have pictures from this spot on this gather and it is because I have to wait up to 30 minutes for the sheep to come round from the furthest bit of land you can see on the pic. The sheep already on that side are ones we have gathered and put there. My job here is to act as stop to prevent the sheep coming along and scooting down here and down to the shore. The gathering was a success with very few sheep missed and left behind. It was nice catching up with the other farmers.
