Welcome back to Cocobay

It's been a very long day, which has added to the exhaustion of a frantic four-day week. We were up at 3:45am to be ready for a taxi that took us to the airport at 4:15am. We caught the first flight of the day to Gatwick, from where we flew to Antigua for a week in the sun.

Despite the early start we had a really good journey. We discovered that travel to the Caribbean on a Friday is a much more pleasant experience than it is on a Saturday (the main changeover day). Our main entertainment on the flight comprised three great films: Paddington (we howled with laughter); What we did on our holiday (great interactions between adult and child actors, and a holiday setting very much like those we enjoy on our tandem); and Pride (thought provoking plot with an excellent soundtrack from 'our era').

This ice bucket greeted us in our room on arrival at Cocobay.

This shot was backblipped with all the others from our holiday. Taken together the pictures give a sense of how a "typical" day is spent at Cocobay. The full set is as follows:

Welcome back to Cocobay
Breakfast at Cocobay
First cocktail of the day
A lunchtime walk on the beach
View from a sunlounger
Scrabble at "tea" time
Pool lizard reprise (Mr February)
Cocobay sunset
