Rose without Perfume

.... The cold Camellia only, stiff and white,
Rose without perfume, lily without grace,
When chilling winter shows his icy face,
Blooms for a world that vainly seeks delight.....

Balzac

Dull, damp, grey but I slept like a log after all our London shenanigans. Last night's film Human Capital was a bit underwhelming - a study in greed and manipulation. One of those films that focus on a single moment and look at it from various people's point of view, but most of the characters were so shallow and unpleasant we couldn't get that worked up about it. Chips were good though.
A catching up kind of day and a quick whizz around the garden in the mizzle to find a blip -  the pink and red camellias have been out for some time but are getting a battering, blowsy in their decay.

Just a reminder that it's Derelict Thursday tomorrow (doesn't it come round fast!)  and  Some news re SarumStroller
