Greek key

Wet, wet, wet but we've been to Cork city - knickers, bath bombs, coffee, insoles! Fairly civilised though my head went fairly quickly and lunch was needed in the English market. I've blipped this building before. It is one of the first you see after getting off the Park & Ride bus on entering the city - a once magnificent fan window gracing what was originally a very handsome Georgian building. The facade has been kept but no conservation seems to be underway. If you biggify you can see that the details are very intricate. Test your architectural knowledge: acanthus leaves, Greek keys and swirls?? There seem to have been all sorts of ornate little doodahs that have disappeared too.
We also popped into the Cork Vision centre to look at a photographic exhibition - RP1 had two images displayed. Extensive, well hung and interesting.
Off to make supper then back for a browse of dereliction.
