Beech and beauty

Soon I will swap beech for beach.

I took a walk around the ring this evening for inspiration, memory building and in search of a good blip picture.

I took some photos of the highland cattle. They were ok. They are a feature of Wandlebury, but they didn't speak to me.

Walking back 'home' around the ring, in the peace and serenity that this place still conjures, I looked up at this powerful beech, framed in a pinking soulful sky. I thought, 'this is how I want to remember Wandlebury'.

In all likelihood, by the end of the year the 'charity' Cambridge PPF will have damaged this beauty spot beyond all recognition, and I will be glad I am no longer here.
