After the show

Fantastic evening with a few folk including Greg_Lovett at The Tunnels, near Bristol's Temple Meads station, where we saw a great set from Ian Siegal

Learning from previous gigs I wore a decent set of ear plugs, in fact a pair of tuned motorcycle ones that would work well in their intended situation if it wasn't that the helmet kept moving them out of place (in the end I bought a set of moulded ones for the bike).

The gig was tremendous; nice tight drum and bass, with the most awesome guitarist called Dusty Ciggaar. Ian somehow reminded me of Dennis Locorriere from Dr Hook both for his throaty diction and his singing style, albeit in a firmer blues mode.

The gig was three songs in when Ian Siegal called time on the photographers at the front of the stage (time to put down the cameras and listen to some live music!), but with only the iPhone in a darkly lit venue I wasn't going to capture much.

But at the end of the set the roady was there, pulling up the gaffer tape and winding up the leads...
