Loyal Greenjacket

I was confined to barracks today so amused myself looking for bugs outside the back door. Various bees, hoverflies, flies, ladybirds and an extremely weird bug visited.

My pic shows my first green shieldbug of the season found where I find my first every year. It's still wearing its bronze winter jacket. Soon these bugs will be everywhere sporting their green summer uniform and I will ignore them.
