EASTER DAY - JESUS IS ALIVE!

We decided to go to Springbourne Christian Centre for the Easter morning service, as the friends we met yesterday told us they attended when they were down in Boscombe.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the question "Have you come to see Steve Murray?" to which my response was "No, actually we have come to worship God.  Who is Steve Murray anyway?"  The lady explained that he was a Christian Mime Artist and would be taking part in the service.  By the end of the service, we were certainly glad we went - he was truly inspirational!

After a couple of worship songs, and the obligatory giving out of Easter eggs to the children, Steve took the rest of the service and to say we were moved is an understatement.  He was absolutely magnificent, telling the story of the Crucifixion and Resurrection from the point of view of the Roman Centurion.  As he explained, we know nothing about this man from the Bible, so it is all fiction, but he wove in the details of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus in a wonderful way using mime and music.

If ever Steve is in a church near you, then do go and see him - you won't be disappointed - and you might even find your faith is strengthened.

Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy
he has given us new birth
into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead, and into an inheritance
that can never perish, spoil or fade.

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!
