GOODBYE, HONEYCOMBE BEACH

So is it the end - or a new beginning - who knows?

We have had the most wonderful times down at Honeycombe Beach and have been really blessed to use our son and daughter-in-law's apartment for the last 5 years or so.

But now things are changing and our time at Honeycombe Beach has come to an end, but we are so grateful that along the way, we have met some wonderful people - in various churches, coffee shops, restaurants, on the beach, and on the pier and many have been the subject of my Blips.

Mr. HCB and I have met people in coffee shops who have poured out their hearts to us, laughed with us and some have even cried with us.  We have made some great friends, who I am sure will remain friends, even though we may not be down here so regularly for the next few months.

I have put up many Post-it Notes in Boscombe and they have even had a "Maureen" wall in one or two places - at Urban Reef this morning they suggested that I send them one occasionally and they will put it up on the wall!  Incidentally, we treated to ourselves to breakfast at UR today - I can thorough recommend the Eggs Benedict!

So, what's next?  Well, perhaps now I can think about clearing out the "stuff" that has accumulated at home, and of course, I will still be going out and having coffee, cake and chats with various friends - next week is already filling up!

Of course, now the cricket season is almost upon us, I am now relegated to third place in Mr. HCB's affections - Cricket (1), Garden (2) and Me (3), but every day is a blessing and we feel very fortunate to have good health, a roof over our heads and food on the table - you just wait until after 13th May - I may even be running marathons!

So to all of you in Boscombe and around who are reading this - we will miss you, but I have no doubt we will be back - and after all, it's not even 2 hours down the motorway to get here!

“Ends are not bad things,
they just mean that something else
is about to begin.
And there are many things
that don't really end, anyway,
they just begin again in a new way.
Ends are not bad
and many ends aren't really an ending;
some things are never-ending.”
C. Joybell

Just in case you are wondering, I am not leaving Blip - we are just not going to be coming to Honeycombe Beach on a regular basis - but Mr. & Mrs. HCB are alive and well!
