Ashness Bridge.

It was a beautiful morning and as Clickychick  was playing with a different camera we decided to have a day out taking photos.  We had been promising ourselves to go further into Borrowdale than we have had time to do recently so that was the decision made.

We had no itinerary  and just stopped where we liked.  Not true this is Borrowdale at the start of the tourist season so we stopped where there we spaces.   The visits went in this order Surprise View, Watendlath, Ashness Bridge and Manesty.  A suggestion for anyone considering parking in Borrowdale, make sure you are a member of either the National Trust or the Scottish National Trust.  I think £1 for 30 minutes in a rough car park is a bit steep.

Of the many shots I took (CC took twice as many) I decided I would go for the iconic tourist shot of Ashness Bridge with Skiddaw in the background.
