Uglies

A room with a view
and one must look beyond the
obvious each day

~ carliewired

The two day ordeal is done. Surgery was accomplished after the dinner hour this evening. Daughter #1 was safely on her way home before 10 PM.

Thanks to T for keeping me company while waiting in the recovery room area. Also thanks for wheeling my baby to the car and sending us on our way.

We collected the prescription and some groceries before leaving B close to her bed. A couple of days of rest and quiet should do the trick now.

Looking out the hospital room window in one direction offered a hillside full of interesting houses. In the other direction, the view was blocked by a recent wing featuring odd bits of pipes and chimneys. The only saving grace was my house on the hill in the background.

Inside the room, B's favourite, worn slip-on Crocs waited by the bed. When she left for surgery, these were left behind temporarily. I had to go back to collect them. They must be retained now, as badges of courage. (and survival!)
