Quod oculus meus videt

Swan, Mist and Sunrise

Two birds in two days, must be a change in the air.  This cob was serenely gliding across the pool while his mate was incubating eggs on the nest.

I went up to Weston Park with little expectation, not a cloud in the sky and very little indications of mist as I drove along the A5.  As I drove on to the park my intention was to check out Tong Drive, as it has a great display of bluebells in the spring.  I didn't get there until over an hour later as a towering cloud of mist hung over the park pool.

I drove down, hoping that it would not disperse too quickly.  I needn't have worried and I spent a very pleasant time walking up and down the bank capturing images and passing the time of day with some fishermen who seemed to be taking fish out of the pool at a prodigious rate.

As ever other images have been placed onto the Weston Park Album (Flicker).
