Speckled bush cricket

Grey and cold day today - typical bank holiday weather.
Cycled down to pilates and had a good stretch - much needed after my exertions in the gym last night.

I found these tiny nymphs of the speckled bush cricket in the garden this morning. There were several of them on a bog bean plant.

Enjoying catching up with some blips and lazing around. I'm also watching a crow bringing in large pieces of bread into the garden through the patio windows. It is dipping them in the pond to soften them up and then scoffing them. Very clever behaviour (though not sure I want the pond full of bread crumbs!)
